School history
    Muang Phuket Municipal School is a large school with an area of 13 square meters. It was built under the reign of Mr. Kasem Sutthangkul, the Mayor of Phuket. The first building was constructed on August 9, 1976, with subsidies from the government with an amount of 5,018,000 Baht. It was a 3-story concrete building, 13.50 meters wide and 91.40 meters long designed by the architect Mr. Pittayanatkaranakul. The first course opened on May 1, 1978 with Mr. Sunan Limjanon as the first principal of the school. There was a total of 269 students, 17 teachers and 3 janitors.
